I've been an activist since I was a teenager in the 1980s. Back then, we were protesting against nukes and for a government response to the AIDS crisis. In the decades since, I've advocated for equal pay, LGBTIQ+ human rights, and the rights of women and girls, and against gender-based violence, homophobia, and transphobia. I joined a soccer league in 2006 and the experience turned into a crash course on sport and social change. I currently serve as a trustee for Pride House International, and I'm the team lead for the Americas with the Football v Homophobia campaign.
